Finally a Scots side living up to some potential under a quality coach who is putting the team back together again. Andy Robinson should never have been allowed to stay for so long. The game needs a strong Scotland.
I am excited about this Scottish team. I do not mean they will win the WC but they could get back to respectability. Maybe even make a run at the ^N in a couple of years.
It is a young team and could improve, however the biggest problem is strength in depth, with only 2 teams one of which is not very good. There are few positions available for young Scottish players.
I think the RFU should get in bed with the Newcastle Falcons, make some contributions, and move some players into the aviva premiership, I know it sounds terrible but they need more players playing topflight rugby, I can’t see where in Scotland it is economically viable to start another team. I think the Falcons would be game for more money.Would dean Richards say no to player whose salaries are payed for by the SRFU.
