Australia name squad for Autumn Internationals

Ewen McKenzie has named his 32-man touring squad for their upcoming tour of the Northern Hemisphere, as well as the one-off Bledisloe Cup game in Dunedin on 19th October.

The Wallabies then face a hectic schedule in which they play England, Italy, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in consecutive weeks.

Tatafu Polota-Nau, the veteran hooker of 44 caps, is recalled to the squad after a long lay-off with a hamstring injury. The list of players not considered due to injury is long, and reads: Kurtley Beale, Anthony Fainga’a, Kyle Goodwin, Scott Higginbotham, Hugh McMeniman, Jesse Mogg and Hugh Pyle.

  1. Gosh. That is a tough schedule

    You’d imagine that each of those teams fancy their chances against the Aussies. I reckon England, Ireland and Wales will be most disappointed if they don’t each get a win out of it

    Having said that, you write the Aussies off at your peril – as they proved against the Argies!

  2. Well i dont see any “new ” front row names so these guys are going to struggle big time in their Grand Slam Tour! What about Scotland. We beat them in Australia last year and the previous year we beat them at Murrayfield! Yes you cant write them off however I dont think they will win a game!
