  1. Good performance by wales, fortunate to get ahead and fortunate that Argentina attacked well but never really threatened the try line. It could of been 30-20 or 60-6. Mike Phillips finally had a decent game and Cory Allen didn’t disappoint. 6 Matera for Argentina, much talked about and the first time I heard his name he was being subbed on 55 mins. Did wales keep Argentina quiet or did Argentina play poorly…I’m not sure but it’s a big win on the scoreboard.

  2. Wales did enough to win at a canter and no one seemed out of their depth. However missing a finisher like Cuthbert is noticeable as I am sure he would have been on the end of a few of the breakaways. Other ‘big guns’ missing and this led to a more sloppy display with missed tackles etc. Two more games to come and this can be used to look at the depth of Welsh rugby which seems to be sufficient given today’s performance. Wales are there or thereabouts, but must start beating the Southern Hemisphere teams, at least in Cardiff, before a World Cup and other dreams can be a realistic goal. Gatland seems to be steering the ship in the correct direction though.

Let’s not forget Argentina are also without some players and are at the end of a long season which made it easier for Wales. A fully fit and fresh Argentina are a more concerning prospect.

Not a great game nor a poor one. 6/10.

  3. Just watched the match, can Mike Phillips stop bloody pointing as he scores! It is just as irritating as George North shaking his finger this summer.

  4. Delighted with that. Played the entire game with pace and intent, we often drop off once ten or so points ahead. First try was a combo of luck and Hibbard yet again smashing into the oppo. He’s fast becoming our mode important player – even when Adam Jones is fit.

Gutted that Cory Allen is now out for rest of year. He looked good. Time to call up Henson in the centres? – joke..
