Heyneke Meyer has announced his Springbok line-up to take on Argentina in the final round of the Rugby Championship this weekend, with Jean de Villiers making his comeback for the first time in a capped game, returning to the centres as captain.
He will wear 13 outside Damien de Allende, with the outstanding Jesse Kriel shifting to the wing to join Willie le Roux and Bryan Habana in an exciting back three.
Handré Pollard is passed fit and retains his half-back partnership with Ruan Pienaar, while the only other changes to the team are injury-enforced with Marcell Coetzee taking over from François Louw on the flank and Vincent Koch named at tighthead prop for Jannie du Plessis.
Two other injury comebacks are completed on the bench, with Pieter-Steph du Toit and Siya Kolisi both returning after injury.
Fourie du Preez and Willem Alberts trained with the squad this week, but Meyer said he has decided to give them more time to recover. The same is true of the shorter-term injuries suffered recently by Warren Whiteley, Frans Malherbe and Steven Kitshoff.
