Aviva Premiership 2014/2015 fixtures announced


Next season’s Aviva Premiership fixtures were announced this morning, with the timings and television schedules for the opening six rounds also revealed.

Defending champions Northampton open their campaign in the very first fixture of the season at home to a revamped Gloucester side, a game which looks the pick of the round. The London Double Header takes place on the Saturday, with Saracens doing battle with Wasps before London Irish play Harlequins.

New arrivals London Welsh get their season off to a start at the Kassam Stadium against Exeter Chiefs on the Sunday, the final of four games to be broadcast live on BT Sport on the opening weekend.

Northampton have also confirmed that the repeat of last season’s final, against Saracens, will be moved to stadiummk on 25th April.

The opening weekend of Aviva Premiership action for the 2014/2015 season is as follows:

Friday 5 September
Northampton Saints v Gloucester Rugby (7.45pm). Live on BT Sport

Saturday 6 September
Saracens v Wasps (Twickenham, 2pm). Live on BT Sport
Sale Sharks v Bath Rugby (2pm)
Leicester Tigers v Newcastle Falcons (3pm)
London Irish v Harlequins (Twickenham, 4.30pm). Live on BT Sport

Sunday 7 September
London Welsh v Exeter Chiefs (2pm). Live on BT Sport

  1. Can’t help but be ridiculously excited about Gloucester’s season after all of our moves this off season. Am hoping it will not be misplaced (like last year!).

    Have to admit that we were warned about Nigel Davies by Brighty and he proved to be right – am hoping no Brumbies/Ulster fans are going to burst my current bubble!

    Looking forward to September 5th.
