Ireland team to play France

irelandJoe Schmidt makes one change to the team that comprehensively beat Italy last weekend for the trip to Paris on Saturday, with Peter O’Mahony returning to the line-up in place of Ian Henderson, who drops to the bench.

Ian Madigan is included amongst the replacements, in place of Paddy Jackson.

  1. Can’t believe they’ve retained BOD, he’s been absolutely rubbish this 6N – always flattered to deceive on the international stage!

      1. Blimey, that was a bit highbrow for me, but I’m sure his halo will still be shining brightly after the game! Have to say that he’s been one of my favourite players for a very long time now and the game will miss him. Fofana taking up the NH centre crown?

  2. Very surprised Paddy Jackson left out. Done nothing wrong for ireland coming off the bench and imo has every right to be upset! Other than that, good selection but looking at the future I would really like to see some real out and out pace added on the wings. (and at centre as well) Trimble is a good player, strong, tough as old boots and will never let you down but I think to add that next level to our attacking game we should start looking to Simon Zebo and post-BOD should give Henshaw, Cave or Payne (when he qualifies) a decent run in the 13 jersey. All that said COME ON IRELAND give the legend the send off he deserves!
